Botulinum Toxin (Botox) relaxes the muscles in the face to prevent movement that causes lines and wrinkles. They can soften static lines, but these may still be present if very deep. Varying doses and sites where Botox is delivered can give different effects causing some muscles to relax and others to lift. The dose can be tailored to give you some movement or a ‘frozen’ look.
Your nurse will work with you to better understand what movement (if any) you would like and will see how strong different muscles are in your face and how best to achieve this. If you are new to having this treatment or JCW Aesthetics, it may take more than one session to see how your muscles respond to this treatment. All clients are advised to come back after two weeks of their initial treatment so that your nurse can see how you have responded to your dose given and make tweaks if necessary. Even if you are completely happy with your treatment outcome, it is useful for us to see how the medication has worked for you so that we know what best to do specifically for you going forward.
Botox can be used to treat several areas:
Botox can also be used to treat Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating).
All botulinum toxin treatments will require a face-to-face consultation at least 48 hours prior to the treatment taking place. As botulinum toxin is a prescription only medication this deposit is non-refundable and not transferable to another treatment option.

Dermal fillers involve depositing cross matched hyaluronic acid (HA) into or under tissue to add volume and lift. Different types of dermal filler are available to treat different areas and give different looks/desired outcomes. HA is found naturally in the body and is broken down over time. Dermal filler tends to last 6-18 months, but this will vary depending on how your body metabolizes it (breaks it down).
There can be swelling and bruising after filler, especially in sensitive areas such as lips, so do not recommend having this treatment if you have an event within 4 weeks of the treatment. This will allow for your review and 'top up's' two weeks following your initial treatment, if required.
Areas we treat:
A face to face consultation will be required for dermal fillers prior to treatments. Topical and/or lidocaine in the dermal filler is used for comfort.
Please note that you cannot have this treatment if you have an active cold sore or have recently had any vaccination within 2 weeks.
If you are allergic to wasp/bee stings, you will not be suitable for this treatment.
Cost: Up to 0.5ml from £225. Up to 1.0ml from £275. If more is required, prices will be discussed at consultations when discussing your goals.
Downtime: 7-14 days for all swelling and bruising to subside. Lips are most likely to take the longest recovery time and cause the most pain.
Pain/Discomfort: Moderate

This procedure can be very painful. The medication starts working immediately, but full results will not be seen for 2 weeks. You must NOT have any filler in the area dissolved for at least 2 weeks post dissolve. Expect some redness and tenderness in the area. You may need repeat dissolving injections if this is for a complication such as an occlusion, rather than not wanting the filler, or migration.
We recommend you contact the practitioner with whom your occlusion may have occurred as it is their responsibility to care for you and manage this, however, if for whatever reason you are unable to reach them or need urgent treatment, we will try to help you. Please be advised however, that if you did not get your filler treatment with JCW Aesthetics, the full cost of filler dissolving will apply.
The product used to dissolve filler is a prescription only medication and therefore, unless you have already been treated by JCW Aesthetics and this product is being used in an emergency situation, you will require a face to face consultation prior to booking your treatment. Please note that all prescription only medications require deposits which are non-refundable.
Cost: £350
Downtime: 3-14 days

Time required for treatment: 30 minutes+ depending on amount of filler and reason for dissolving.

When we gain weight, our body may make more fat cells if our original fat cells are full. When we loose weight, our fat cells shrink, but do not disappear. This can result in ‘fat pouches’ that do not go away no matter how much we eat healthily or exercise. Fat dissolving injections breakdown the membranes of fat cells and allow the body to absorb them through the lymphatic system and be excreted through our gastric systems in our stools.
If healthy eating and exercise is resumed, the fat cells should not come back and the results long lasting. This is a minimally invasive procedure whereby fat dissolving medication is injected into the subcutaneous (fatty) tissue where it acts on these cells. There is minimal downtime, bruising and swelling. This of course will vary depending on the product used.
We offer three types of fat dissolving which fall into different categories for price, speed of results, pain and discomfort and bruising and swelling.
